Composer
Erwann KERMORVANT
Languages spoken: French - English
Erwann Kermorvant is a versatile composer. He enjoys moving freely between genres and disciplines, from short films (SPEED/DATING) to television series (PAX MASSILIA, ASTRID ET RAPHAELLE) and feature films (L’ENQUÊTE, UN TICKET POUR L’ESPACE). As Olivier Marchal’s regular composer, he is naturally associated with the crime genre, yet he is equally skilled at writing for comedy, action, and drama. He effortlessly combines writing for (large) orchestra with music programming.
His musical training began at age 7 at the Lorient Conservatory, where he discovered the clarinet. He then moved to the United States and began studying film music under Ralph Grierson, a renowned Hollywood studio keyboardist. Drawn to this calling, Erwann enrolled at the Grove School of Music in Los Angeles and specialized in film music at UCLA.
From short films to TV series (I’LL GIVE YOU ALL OF THIS, KIM KONG), as well as mainstream action and comedy films (WHO KILLED PAMELA ROSE?, THE FIRST STAR, THE SECOND STAR, GIVE ME YOUR HAND, 36 QUAI DES ORFEVRES), Erwann Kermorvant is one of the leading composers in the French audiovisual landscape.
