An eclectic composer (KNOCK, a comedy by Lorraine Levy; UN HOMME IDEAL, a thriller by Yann Goslan; SPLICE, a science-fiction film by Vincenzo Natali; OMBLINE, a drama by Stéphane Cazès), Cyrille Aufort truly began to establish his reputation both in France and abroad with films such as LA GLACE ET LE CIEL (Luc Jacquet), PAST LIFE (Avi Nesher), and more recently, Luc Jacquet’s documentary L’EMPEREUR, for which he won an Emmy Award as well as a Hollywood Music in Media Award.

Whether in his documentaries (NEPAL: BEYOND THE CLOUDS, THE OAK AND ITS INHABITANTS, JOURNEY TO THE SOUTH POLE), his TV series scores (NOX, A DANGEROUS FRIENDSHIP, THE MOUNTAIN WILL BLOOM…), and his auteur films (THE OTHER STORY, THE GOLDEN WOLF OF BALOLE), Cyrille Aufort captivates audiences with his powerful thematic music. He stands out for his sensitive orchestral writing, always meticulously crafted to serve the film’s narrative.

He also occasionally collaborates on compositions for film concerts with the Normandy Regional Orchestra and the Pays de la Loire National Orchestra, as well as on symphonic arrangements for Bernard Lavillers , with whom he recently co-produced the album *Métamorphose*, which won a Gold Record in 2024.

A recipient of several first prizes from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon and Paris, he began his career composing for theater, short films, and animated films before making his debut in the film industry.
