After making his debut in 2005 alongside the Buffalo Corp collective (Morgan S. Dalibert, Alban Lenoir, and others), Etienne Forget gained experience working on numerous short films, including *La Vitesse Du Passé* (Dominique Rocher), Le Dernier Voyage de l’énigmatique Paul W.R. (Romain Quirot), and continued his career in television with Simon Astier on Off Prime and then Hero Corp for five seasons.

He also composes music for drama series (La Forêt), a historical biopic (Victor Hugo, Ennemi d’État), science fiction (Julien Lacombe’s Missions trilogy, which earned him his first international award), and the documentary and science series by Clément Morin and Franck Courchamp, Une espèce à Part ( which also won an award for its music).

In his feature films, he ventures into comedy (Robin Sykes’*La finale* and *Séxygénaires* ) and returns to his favorite genres, such as science fiction (Romain Quirot’s*Le Dernier Voyage* ), psychological thrillers, including Maraé (Jacques Kluger) and AKA (Morgan S. Dalibert), which were major international hits*, and action films, such as the recent GTMAX (Olivier Schneider) and Rapide (Morgan S. Dalibert).

Skilled in the musical programming that has become his signature, he also composes for orchestra and creates hybrid music that blends the two styles. His music draws on experimental electronic music, folk ballads, and post-Romantic traditions. It is characterized by a subtle exploration of sound that yields refined themes, inextricably linked to the film’s narrative and its characters.

Trained in sound and sound research under Bruno Guiganti, the artist and acousmatician, Etienne Forget turned to audiovisual work out of a passion for the narrative relationship between music and images. He developed additional skills for his compositions by continuing his training in orchestral composition with Sébastien Villers, a former student of the CNSM.
